Surrounding niche Murals create

Surrounding niche Murals create three-dimensional impression - as if its frame, two columns. The painting above the niches, and columns, it seems, depicts the facade of the Jerusalem Temple. Next to him was to see the Menorah or candlestick temple, as well as other characters Judaic rites.

On the left side of the Temple (on the right, in terms of standing face to a niche observer) fresco featured a test of Abraham. In order to test the faith of Abraham, the Lord commanded him to bring his son Isaac on Mount Moriah in the ground and burn in the sacrificial fire. But as soon as he brought a knife lying on the bound Isaac on the altar, an angel appeared and stopped his hand. Here's how the Bible says about this:
And he stretched his hand and took the knife to his son заколоть.
But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said: Abraham! Abraham! He said: I am.
[Angel] said: Do not raise your hand to the lad and do not do anything against him, because now I know that you are afraid of God and do not pity your son, only for me. And Abraham lifted his eyes and saw: and behold, behind the ram, are immersed in their horns. Abraham went and took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering instead of his son.
My satellites razbrelis of reconstructed synagogue that attracted their attention to consider the fresco, or choose the best point to shoot, but I went to the northern part of the damaged wall. One of the frescoes, preserved only in part because of the bevel shaft filled with sand, depicts the dream of Jacob, when he saw the angels descending and ascending on linking heaven and earth ladder. This primitive drawing made me smile, recalling how this episode portrayed myself and my peers in the classroom studying the Bible. Here, in the Syrian capital, archenemy of Israel, save the image of Abraham's grandson Jacob, who took the name of Israel, once entered into battle with the angel.
